Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Ireland seeks an Environmental Compliance Manager to lead environmental compliance across major infrastructure projects. You will ensure contractors and supply chain meet environmental legislation, licences, and planning conditions, while guiding governance and continuous improvement.

You will provide expert advice, monitor regulatory changes, and drive environmental risk management across the project lifecycle, including plan reviews, audits, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental compliance on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and EU environmental legislation.
• Experience managing contractors on live construction sites.
• ISO 14001 implementation and auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programmes across construction/infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with permits, licences and planning conditions.
• Provide expert environmental advice to project teams and senior management.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement across projects.
• Oversee contractor environmental management plans and risk assessments.
• Prepare environmental monitoring, reporting and KPIs.
• Promote continuous improvement and environmental governance across supply chain.
