Job summary

Senneca is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Subzero Engineering’s Structural Engineering and Product Design function. You will direct engineers and designers, ensure safety, performance, and manufacturability, and maintain compliance with building codes and standards.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management to drive high‑quality, cost‑effective products. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Sales, Quality and Product Management to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree in drafting/design/engineering required.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Knowledge of drafting and design theory and practices.
• Working knowledge of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Adobe Suite and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Manufacturing process knowledge preferred.
• Installation/construction knowledge preferred.
• Full Irish/EU citizenship or valid working visa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a team of engineers and designers.
• Assign projects to team members based on skills and workload.
• Ensure designs/proposals are delivered timely to meet client needs.
• Assist in development of new products or methods where applicable.
• Prepare drawings, BOMs, estimates, and design reviews with sales.
• For complex projects, act as project manager coordinating across teams.
• Collaborate with Product Managers for product planning and improvement.
• Work with Sales to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution.
• Drive process improvements to enhance customer outcomes and profitability.
