Job summary

Senneca is seeking a motivated Structural Design Engineer in Ireland to design, develop, and optimize structural systems for data centers and industrial applications. The role requires proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD, strong knowledge of structural engineering, and collaboration with manufacturing, project management and installation teams to ensure performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of structural design experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D CAD software.
• Experience with steel structures, sheet metal, welded and bolted connections.
• Understanding of structural analysis, materials, and fabrication methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural products, assemblies and fabricated steel structures using SolidWorks and CAD software.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Support data center aisle containment systems and equipment support structures.
• Perform structural calculations and engineering analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, project management and installation teams.
