Position Summary
The Engineering Manager leads Subzero Engineering’s Structural Engineering and Product Design function, directing a team of engineers and designers who develop, analyse and document Engineered-To-Order and standard products. This role will oversees the technical integrity, structural performance and manufacturability of design while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.

Position Details
Balancing hands-on engineering leadership with people management and project prioritization, the Engineering Manager partners closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Quality and Product Management to bring safe, high performing and cost-effective products to market.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operations of a team of Sales Application Engineers.
- Oversee the design of client projects, assigning members of the sales application engineering team to projects appropriately.
- Ensure the sales application team produces their designs & proposals in a timely manner to meet client’s needs.
- Assist in development of new products or methods where applicable.
- Assist Sales team with back end duties such as technical/installation drawings, BOM preparation, estimate/proposal preparation, acceptable design/use review, technical/design support, client conference with sales team, and site measurement.
- For complex projects, assume project management role to ensure coordination and communication between sales, order fulfillment, and site services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers for successful implementation of new and existing products, including research and development, application, and product improvement.
- Collaborates with assigned members of the Sales Team for process improvement, sales support expectations, and project completion.
- Improve efficiency to improve customer outcomes and company profitability.

Requirements
- Degree in drafting/design/engineering
- 5+ years of team management experience
- Strong Communication skills required
- Knowledge of drafting and design theory and practices
- Working knowledge of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, MS Office, and related business software
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and create a cooperative work environment between peers & other internal teams
- Working knowledge of manufacturing process preferred
- Working knowledge of installation/construction practices preferred
- Full, clean drivers license
- Full Irish/EU citizenship or working visa
