Job summary

Subzero Engineering is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Structural Engineering and Product Design function. You will direct engineers and designers who develop, analyse and document Engineered-To-Order and standard products, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with codes.

The role balances hands-on leadership with people management, partnering with Manufacturing, Sales, Quality and Product Management to deliver safe, high‑performing, cost‑effective products to market.

Qualifications

• Degree in drafting/design/engineering.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of drafting and design theory and practices.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of Sales Application Engineers.
• Oversee the design of client projects and assign team to projects accordingly.
• Ensure the sales application team produces designs & proposals in a timely manner to meet client needs.
• Assist in development of new products or methods where applicable.
• Assist Sales team with back-end duties such as drawings, BOM, estimates, and site measurements.
• For complex projects, act as project manager to coordinate between sales, order fulfillment, and site services.
• Collaborate with Product Managers for implementation of new and existing products.
• Collaborates with Sales Team for process improvement and project completion.
