Job summary

Ohshima Ireland LTD in Shannon, Co. Clare, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our growing manufacturing team.

You will drive engineering support for customers and suppliers, lead lean manufacturing initiatives, manage people performance, and support new product introduction with a focus on process improvements and ERP implementation. The role requires delivering weekly production performance reports, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and maintaining high quality and safety

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and process improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems and project management.

Responsibilities

• Providing Manufacturing Engineering support to both customers and suppliers.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes and methods.
• Prepare, maintain and communicate Engineering performance reports to management on a weekly basis.
• Providing project management support where required.
• Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives and ERP implementation.
• Managing New Product Introduction to ensure stable and capable processes.
• Developing and monitoring production performance metrics.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance in the manufacturing environment.
