Job summary

Ohshima Ireland LTD in Shannon, Co. Clare, seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing engineering team in a fast-paced multinational setting. You will drive improvements, manage projects and deliver on-time performance, ensuring high quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include lean manufacturing, ERP implementation, and weekly performance reporting, while mentoring staff and collaborating across functions to optimise capacity and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering in a fast-paced multinational environment.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing and process improvements.
• Experience in leading teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
• Experience with ERP implementation and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Manufacturing Engineering support to customers and suppliers.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment, processes and methods.
• Prepare, maintain and communicate engineering performance reports to management weekly.
• Provide project management support where required.
• Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives to improve on-time delivery.
• Support operations capacity projects and focused improvement teams.
• Develop and implement annual cost reduction programmes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in technology, capability and behaviour.
