Job summary

Lex Consultancy is recruiting an Energy Modelling Analyst to join a specialist team focused on energy research, data analysis and supporting Ireland's transition to a low-carbon future.

This role involves conducting energy modelling studies, developing analytical tools in Python, data preparation and analysis, and communicating findings through reports and visualisations. Hybrid work with two days onsite per week is expected, with a 18-month contract.

Qualifications

• Degree (NFQ 7) in a relevant field such as Engineering or Science.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in modelling or data analysis.
• Proficient in Python and data analysis tools.
• Experience with SQL and data engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy modelling studies and evaluate decarbonisation options.
• Develop analytical tools using Python or similar languages.
• Prepare and analyse data to improve modelling inputs and outputs.
• Produce reports, briefings and data visualisations of findings.
• Research emerging trends and identify opportunities to improve modelling methodologies and tools.
• Support the development of energy modelling frameworks and processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and present findings at meetings.
