Job summary

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) in Ireland seeks Analysts with at least 1 year of relevant experience in energy, safety, water, or related sectors. The role involves policy analysis, economic regulation, and stakeholder engagement.

Starting salary is €44,678 with a salary scale up to €63,230. The position is permanent, with hybrid work up to 3 days remote and 25 days annual leave, plus development opportunities.

Qualifications

• An appropriate NFQ Level 8 or higher qualification, preferably in economics, law, engineering, science, health and safety, business or related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in energy, safety, water, process industry or related sector.
• Knowledge/experience of policy frameworks in regulated energy sectors.
• Eligible to work full-time in Ireland at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CRU consultation and decision papers, reports and presentations.
• Work in cross-functional project teams and with internal/external stakeholders.
• Engage with NI, GB or EU counterparts on policy, markets, or industry developments.
• Analyse energy/water/safety data and build financial models.
