Enexa Partners is seeking a Senior Technology Manager / Project Manager for the Commercial team in Ireland. The role oversees technology strategy, procurement, and delivery of dispatchable energy projects, with a focus on gas turbines and BESS within Derrygreenagh Power JV.
You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage contracts, and ensure on-time delivery through Feasibility to Commercial Operation, in a hybrid Newbridge setting.

In partnership with our client, who are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Technology Manager to join their Commercial team. To lead the Assessment, Specification, Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management and Performance Testing of new Power Generation Technology with a primary focus on Gas Turbines. Act as their Subject Matter Expert in Derrygreenagh Power JV. Success will be measured by successful tenders issued and Project Delivery for DG Power enabled by subject matter knowledge and representing our client’s interests within the JV. Support the development of Business Case and Technology Selections for their Energy Parks.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Lead the development and implementation of a Technology Strategy for the PowerGen business unit, to inform the approach to Technology Contract Procurement, Operations and Maintenance. Key to the development of this strategy will be thorough understanding of Gas Turbine Technology, Market Trends and Electricity Markets.
Work with the Commercial Team to provide specialist technical expertise in support of the Procurement of Dispatchable Energy Technology. Engage with and manage the interface with Technology Providers and Investor's Technical and Commercial Due Diligence Advisers to provide all required data.
Project Manage the delivery of Dispatchable Energy Projects from Feasibility through to Commercial Operation through the execution of agreed Project Management Plans to ensure all deliverables are achieved on time and within the scopes and budgets.
Manage The Procurement of all goods and services required in accordance with company policy and Irish and EU legislative requirements. Actively engage with key suppliers to negotiate main project contracts on favourable commercial terms which are in line with marketplace norms. Administer key project contracts and oversee the delivery of goods and services in accordance the Contract Terms and Technical Specifications set.
Monitor and Control Performance against plan and ensure records, accounts and reports are maintained. Implement Stakeholder Management Plans and liaise With Senior Management and Shareholders to keep them appraised of project status.
Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
7-10 years at Senior Manager or equivalent level
Experience in delivery of Large Energy Projects thru FID/COD phases.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
Knowledge/Experience of Irish construction standards and practices as well as Grid Code and standards.
Excellent knowledge of Dispatchable Energy Technology (preferably Gas Turbines, Battery Energy Storage Systems BESS or a combination) is essential for this role.
Excellent Project Management skills are essential for this role.
Excellent Commercial Contract Negotiation skills are essential for this role.
Excellent report writing and communications skills are essential for this role.
Honours Degree in Engineering (NFQ 8), recognised Project Management qualification an advantage
Experience of working as part of multidisciplinary teams with experience of working on JV projects an advantage.
Experience in Large Energy Infrastructure Development (preferably thermal/dispatchable) desirable
