Job summary

Enexa Partners is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects in Ireland. Based in Newbridge with hybrid working (three days home, two in the office), you will work under the Programme Manager and PMO to deliver projects from development through operation.

The role requires a third-level degree in Engineering or related field, at least 3 years in project management for energy or infrastructure, strong PM skills, and proficiency with MS Office and MS

Qualifications

  • Third-level degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management for energy or infrastructure delivery.
  • Competency across a broad range of PM skills; familiarity with Energy Infrastructure sector in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor program activities across all phases within the PMO framework.
  • Prepare contracts, PO's, and procurement documents; track budgets and reports.
  • Support planning consents, permits, and regulatory approvals for construction and operation.
  • Maintain records and dashboards for PMO reporting; capture lessons learned.

Project Manager (Large Scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure Projects)

Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland (Hybrid working model with blended working from home for three days and two days in the office)

Duration: Permanent

Reporting to: Programme Manager

In partnership with our client is a large Irish Semi‑State Organisation, headquartered in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, has evolved into a modern Climate‑Action Enterprise. It now focuses on Renewable Energy Development, rehabilitation, waste and resource recovery, and Large‑Scale Environmental Restoration projects. Its mission centres on supporting Ireland’s transition to a Climate‑Neutral Economy by 2050 through Clean‑Energy Solutions, Biodiversity Regeneration, and Sustainable Land Management.

They are hiring a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery large-scale joint-venture renewable energy infrastructure projects across all phases, from development through to operation.

Working under the guidance of the Program Manager and the PMO, the role ensures program activities progress according to schedule, budget, and governance standards, contributing to the company’s low-carbon and renewable energy goals.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

Planning, Coordinating, and Monitoring program and project activities across all phases. Maintain schedules, action logs, and milestone tracking within the PMO framework. Scope, plan and co-ordinate activities on assigned work packages to successfully deliver required outputs. Ensure tasks assigned to functional teams are progressing as planned.

Preparation, Review, and Administering of contracts, purchase orders, and procurement documents. Track project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting under the oversight of Program Manager. Maintain accurate documentation and financial records.

Support the team in tracking planning consents, permits, and regulatory approvals required for construction and operation. Ensure documentation is maintained to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.

Maintaining effective communication with internal teams, advisors, suppliers, and external stakeholders. Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for PMO, Senior Project Managers, and Program Managers. Participate in project meetings and follow up on assigned actions.

Risk identification, monitoring, and reporting under the guidance of Program Manager. Prepare operational handover documentation to support readiness for project commissioning.

Maintain accurate records and dashboards to support PMO reporting. Contribute to project governance by following PMO methodologies and processes. Capture lessons learned and share observations to improve delivery practices.

Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.

What they're looking for: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes:

A third-level degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management or a related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management, large scale energy or infrastructure project delivery.

Competency across a broad range of Project Management skills must be demonstrated. Familiarity with Energy Infrastructure sector in Ireland.

Excellent Technical Appraisal, report writing and communications skills essential.

Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.

Professional Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent) is desirable.

Post graduate qualification in Project Management is desirable.
