Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Meath is hiring an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for a part-time role based at local schools. You will supervise children, help with homework, and lead a mix of indoor and outdoor activities each day.

A full driving licence and access to your own car are required. Garda vetting is completed after interview, and two written references are required before starting. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Garda vetting is completed by us after the interview stage.
• At least 2 written references before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean and inclusive environment.
