Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Ireland is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Kilmessan National School, Meath. The role is part-time, on-site, with Monday to Friday hours from 1:40pm to 6:00pm, supporting daily activities and supervision.

You will help with homework, lead games, crafts, and structured activities, while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Garda vetting is required later in the process, and two written references are requested before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (both indoors and outdoors) with the children each day.
• Provide energy and enthusiasm when working with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
