Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a committed Support Worker in Navan to assist clients with daily living skills and personal care. You will join a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, reliable support services in line with individual care plans.

The role requires flexibility to cover full-time, part-time, or relief shifts, including potential sleep-ins with appropriate compensation. A full driving license and right to work in Ireland are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with managing domestic or social skills and personal care.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Collaborate with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations that may arise from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care’s Medication Policy where necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, ensuring relevant and important information is recorded and logged according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
