Job summary

Kerry Parents and Friends Association seeks two part-time Support Workers for Listowel Residential Service. The role focuses on empowering adults with intellectual disabilities by planning meaningful goals across personal, social, and daily living needs, and delivering dignity-based care in a person-centred framework while promoting independence.

You will collaborate with colleagues and external services, maintain accurate records and reports in line with GDPR, participate in life-skills

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience with adults with an intellectual disability.
• Candidates who have completed at least 1 year of Nursing or Social Care degree will be considered.
• Authorisation to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals by planning meaningful goals addressing personal, social, recreational, and independence needs.
• Provide physical, emotional, psychological and healthcare support with dignity.
• Conduct life-skills development through budgeting, cooking, communication, and time management.
• Collaborate with internal and external services and families for holistic support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure GDPR-compliant documentation.
• Assist in creating care plans responsive to evolving needs and wellbeing.
