Job summary

St. Michael’s House in Dublin North is hiring Social Care Workers for Local Centres to support people with intellectual disabilities in day services. The role focuses on person-centred care, daily living activities, and community engagement within North Dublin.

You will join a skilled team delivering diverse care models, ensuring safety, dignity, and active participation in community life. A driver’s licence is preferred and eligibility to work in Ireland is required.

Qualifications

• CORU registration or in process
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Strong teamwork and communication
• Knowledge of HIQA regulations
• Willingness to drive and hold a full clean licence

Responsibilities

• Work as a key worker, identifying supports and collaborating with the individual and family
• Deliver a high-quality service in line with national and local requirements
• Implement positive behaviour support plans
• Comply with legislation, policies and procedures set by the employer
• Report to the social care leader, participate in meetings and case reviews
• Promote rights and community integration for people using the service
