Job summary

St. Michael’s House is recruiting Social Care Workers for Residential and Day Services in the North Dublin area. Full-time and part-time permanent contracts are available.

The role involves working as a key worker, delivering person-centred supports and coordinating with families and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality care. The organization emphasises safe, rights-based care, positive behaviour support plans and compliance with national requirements.

Qualifications

• CORU registration as Social Care Worker (or in progress)
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities
• Experience in social care, ideally ID services

Responsibilities

• Work as a key worker, identify supports with individuals and families
• Deliver a quality service and maintain professional standards
• Work within positive behaviour support plans and current policies
• Report to social care leader/service manager and escalate issues
• Promote rights of residents and uphold human-rights culture
• Attend staff meetings and case reviews as required
• Provide written/verbal progress reports on individuals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Liaise with parents and families as required
