Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Bray, County Wicklow, is seeking a Care Assistant for a Day Service setting. You will support clients to achieve personal outcomes and develop positive roles within residential services and the community. Working hours are Monday to Friday.

Key duties include promoting person-centered care, protecting client rights, and helping clients build life skills and independence through activities like cooking and budgeting.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in healthcare or foreign equivalent (validated by QQI)
• A passion for promoting and empowering those you support
• Legal right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities

• facilitate and implement person-centred approach for clients according to their wishes and goals
• promote and protect the rights and dignity of people in their care
• actively seek new interests and opportunities for people to develop meaningful roles in their communities
• ensure overall wellbeing of clients including health and personal care
• assist in teaching life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning and building confidence
