Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Regulatory Legal Counsel, EMEA, to advise on platform, AI and digital regulation shaping X, Grok and SpaceXAI products across Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Africa. You will translate complex obligations into practical guidance and collaborate with Safety, Product, Engineering and Policy teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer of good standing (ideally UK and/or EU).
• 5+ years of legal experience in technology, platform or digital regulation.
• Strong working knowledge of the DSA and/or UK OSA; familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the legislative process and the technology industry.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas succinctly.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-legal teams and to manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to being in-office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Advise on implementation and compliance with EU, UK and other EMEA digital regulations, focusing on EU AI Act, DSA, OSA, AVMSD and Ireland's Online Safety Code.
• Engage with regulators (European Commission, Ofcom, etc.) including information requests, audits, consultations and enforcement actions.
• Collaborate with Safety, Product and Engineering to assess features against regulatory requirements, including risk assessments and transparency obligations.
• Track new legislation, codes of practice and enforcement trends across EMEA and translate into practical guidance for products.
• Help build scalable compliance playbooks and templates for product review.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Privacy, Litigation and Policy to maintain consistent positions across jurisdictions.
• Manage outside counsel and contribute to department support and efficiency.
