Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a Regulatory Legal Counsel, EMEA to advise on platform, AI and digital regulation shaping X, Grok and SpaceXSI products across Europe, UK, Middle East and Africa. Turn complex obligations into actionable plans and work with Safety, Product, Engineering and other Legal teams.

This role requires close collaboration with regulators and internal teams to ensure compliance with EU AI Act, DSA, OSA and other frameworks, while iterating product features in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in good standing, ideally UK and/or EU.
• 5+ years of legal experience in technology, platform or digital regulation.
• Strong working knowledge of the DSA and/or UK OSA.
• Understanding of legislative processes and tech industry.
• Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, judgement, and prioritization in fast-paced env.
• Commitment to in-office work 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Advise on EU, UK and other EMEA digital regulations including EU AI Act, DSA, OSA, AVMSD, and Ireland's Online Safety Code.
• Engage regulators and handle information requests, risk assessments, audits and consultations.
• Collaborate with Safety, Product and Engineering to assess features against regulatory requirements.
• Track new legislation and explain implications for products in practical terms.
• Develop scalable compliance processes, templates and playbooks.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Product Counsel, Privacy and Policy to align positions.
• Manage outside counsel cost-effectively.
• Support the legal department with cross-functional needs and AI product adoption.
