Job summary

Harvey is seeking a qualified privacy lawyer to join its in-house legal team as it expands across EMEA. The role focuses on maintaining and promoting privacy and data protection practices across the organization, working closely with the Head of Privacy and cross-functional partners to ensure global compliance.

You will draft and negotiate data processing agreements, develop global privacy programs, and advise on AI-related regulations, including the EU AI Act.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy and data protection
• Expertise in EU and US data protection law
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to represent Harvey on privacy, AI, and security matters
• Strong collaboration across legal and business teams

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements with customers and subprocessors
• Develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs including DPIAs and Records of Processing
• Collaborate with product and engineering on privacy and data protection implications
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and AI regulations
• Support AI governance with EU/UK frameworks and related guidance
• Develop internal AI governance controls, documentation, and processes
• Partner with stakeholders on transparency, accountability, and human oversight
