Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join the EMEA Payroll team. The role focuses on managing payrolls across our EMEA locations, overseeing updates, and contributing to projects with a strong emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will interact with HR Service Centre, Finance, Benefits, and Exec Compensation while leveraging Workday and industry best practices to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications

• Several years of payroll experience; EMEA payroll experience desirable.
• Experience with payroll processing including; payroll production, reconciliation, General Ledger.
• IPASS qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily payroll activities for assigned EMEA locations.
• Review adjustments for compliance with policies, tax and payroll laws.
• Provide guidance on corrective actions when errors occur.
• Record monthly payroll metrics and respond to employee pay queries.
• Analyze policies to ensure tax and payroll law compliance.
• Support payroll process improvements and system testing.
• Liaise with finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts.
