Job summary

OpenAI seeks an Events and Community Manager EMEA to plan, coordinate, and execute online and in-person events across the EMEA region. The role reports to the Head of OpenAI Academy and Forum in EMEA and involves collaboration with policy, events, communications, and GTM teams.

The position is remote-based with an in-office option and requires travel to support in-person initiatives. Fluency in English is essential; additional EU languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing online and in-person events across multiple regions.
• Interest in AI and automation workflows is a plus.
• Comfort using design and marketing tools like Figma and HubSpot.
• Ability to develop and manage content roadmaps for events and programs.
• Strong communication and collaboration across policy, events, communications and GTM teams.
• Adaptability to changing priorities while delivering multiple projects.
• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Academy and Forum in EMEA with day-to-day programming aligning with Global Affairs priorities.
• Design and execute online and in-person events across EMEA; ensure cultural relevance and local insight.
• Manage timelines, guest communications, vendors, travel, and post-event follow-ups.
• Track KPIs and feedback; provide regular internal reporting.
• Oversee end-to-end event strategy, budgeting, and delivery.
• Coordinate content roadmaps; schedule OpenAI Academy and Forum events and webinars.
• Collaborate with policy, events, comms, and GTM teams to drive impactful initiatives.
• Develop community engagement plans to foster a vibrant online and in-person community.
• Monitor engagement metrics to inform continuous improvement.
