Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Regional Environmental Manager‑EMEA to lead the environmental team across the EMEA region, ensuring regulatory compliance and highest‑level environmental performance of AWS data centre operations. The role directly manages Regional Environmental Managers and Engineers, driving permitting, due diligence, ESAs, and site development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, geographically distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental discipline.
• 15+ years environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance in EMEA.
• 10+ years delivering Phase I/II ESAs for sites and development.
• Experience with regulators and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional environmental teams across the EMEA region and align with global strategy.
• Oversee site acquisition, due diligence, permitting, and transition to operations for data centres.
• Drive environmental compliance and risk management for AWS data centre portfolios across EMEA.
• Engage regulators, communities, and internal stakeholders in policy and permitting matters.
