Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Environmental team in Ireland seeks a Regional Environmental Engineer to lead permitting, licensing, and compliance for data centre projects. You will manage IEL, EIAR, EIA, AA processes, and collaborate with Real Estate, Design, Water, Legal, Risk, and Public Policy teams to ensure environmentally responsible site development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred; Chartered status or PMP/PRINCE2 desirable.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental permitting/licensing for large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental permitting/licensing workstreams for data centre projects (IEL, EIAR, EIA, AA).
• Develop and implement environmental due diligence and regulatory strategies.
• Lead regulatory engagements with EPA, local authorities and planning bodies.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Water, Legal, Risk, Public Policy and Operations teams.
• Provide strategic environmental consenting expertise across AWS projects in Ireland and the EMEA region.
