Job summary

Clio is seeking an experienced Employee Relations lead to own the EMEA ER program across Spain, the UK, Ireland, and beyond. You will lead investigations, advise managers, and ensure compliance with local law while upholding Clio’s values.

This high-autonomy role requires deep knowledge of Spanish labour law, cross-country ER excellence, and the ability to partner with Legal, HR, and external counsel to manage risk and foster fair, inclusive workplaces.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading workplace investigations from intake through resolution and written findings.
• Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals across multiple EMEA markets and outside counsel collaboration.
• Deep expertise in Spanish labour law, works councils, and collective bargaining frameworks.
• Experience advising and coaching managers on disciplinary processes, grievances, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Own EMEA ER caseload across Spain, UK, Ireland, and other locations; manage intake, triage, investigation, resolution, and documentation.
• Conduct thorough, impartial investigations with witness interviews and evidence assessment.
• Advise and coach people leaders on disciplinary processes, grievances, and terminations in compliance with local laws.
• Lead relations with employee representatives and unions in Spain; manage consultation processes and CCBB negotiations.
• Govern and deliver EMEA compliance programs (equality plans, harassment protocols, whistleblowing, gender pay reporting).
• Localise global ER frameworks for EMEA; adapt communications and processes to land legally with employees.
