Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities owning EHS for a region or geography.
  • Strong working knowledge of EHS regulatory frameworks across UK & Ireland (HSE, HSA) and EU jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with fire safety regulation and compliance across Europe (UK Fire Safety Order, Irish/German equivalents).
  • Able to translate regulatory requirements into clear decisions and drive safety.
  • Passionate about workplace EHS with energy to engage teams.
  • Ability to motivate and persuade others to collaborate on EHS programs.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments with ambiguous priorities.
  • Proven ability to write clear SOPs, playbooks, and program documents.
  • Hands-on experience with EHS incident reporting, risk assessment, learning management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own EHS execution across our EMEA sites — onsite inspections, hazard & risk assessments, ergonomic reviews.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, illnesses, and manage occupational health cases.
  • Act as in-region EHS face for employees/partners; support safety committees and emergency response teams; liaise with landlords/building management.
  • Co-build EMEA versions of core EHS programs (emergency action plans, fire safety, ergonomics, contractor safety, training).
  • Tune global standards for UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and other EU markets.
  • Write/assist with new local EHS standards where missing.
  • Coordinate Fire Risk Assessments and duty-holder requirements under European fire law.
  • Lead environmental health work: hazardous materials, indoor air quality, water safety, lighting standards; coordinate environmental reporting.
  • Support new-country/office stand-ups with pre-opening EHS assessments and design/advice.
  • Deliver and coordinate EHS training; manage vendor relationships; maintain documentation and reporting systems.

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
NEBOSH Diploma

France CSE/CHSCT or German BetrSichV experience
Occupational health/fire safety/industrial hygiene background
Experience standing up EHS programs for new offices/countries
Excellent computer skills
