Job summary

PA Consulting is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Bray, Dublin team. You will influence products for major brands, solving complex engineering problems across software, electronics and mechanical disciplines.

You will work through the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment, with emphasis on clear communication to clients and colleagues and strong hands-on experience with embedded platforms and modern workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronic engineering, software engineering or computer science from a leading university.
• Experience with a range of embedded platforms including Zephyr OS, embedded Linux or bare-metal.
• Strong communication for explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software for embedded systems using modern workflows.
• Collaborate across software, electronics and mechanical teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute from concept generation to product launch and in-field maintenance.
• Create software design documentation and perform testing (TDD and CI/CD).
• Engage with clients to explain engineering concepts clearly.
