We are looking for candidates with the following technical skills:

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing software for embedded systems using modern professional workflows.
  • Expertise in C, C++ or Rust programming, together with good experience in Python. Experience in other languages is also beneficial.
  • Practical experience across a range of embedded platforms, which may include RTOS environments such as Zephyr OS, embedded Linux and bare-metal systems on microcontrollers and multi-core SoCs.
  • Experience with test-driven development methodologies and both automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies is beneficial.
  • Well versed in a breadth of communications protocols, such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi etc
  • Demonstrable experience generating software design documentation.
  • Comfortable using device datasheets, and able to work with digital electronics, schematics and hardware engineers during bring‑up and integration.
  • Experienced in full product lifecycle development, from concept generation through to product launch and in-field maintenance or improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is a full-time role based in Bray, Dublin. If successful, you will be expected to work primarily from our offices.

  • Degree qualified, ideally with a good degree in electronic engineering, software engineering, computer science or a related subject from a leading university.
  • The ability to gain appropriate security clearance may be required for some client work.
Your Personality:
  • Someone who shows initiative and is creative – you solve problems.
  • You are comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.
  • You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
