PA Consulting in Bray, Dublin is seeking a Full-time Senior Electronics Architect to lead and support complex product development across the lifecycle.

About the Role

Full‑time Senior Electronics Architect based in Bray, Dublin. You will support and lead projects, solving complex technical challenges and driving innovative product development across the entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

You will work in collaboration with clients and our multi‑disciplinary teams to support the entire product development cycle, from concept electronic platforms, creation of functioning technology demonstrators, to delivery of products. You will communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, build trust, and guide teams through complex technical challenges.

Required Technical Skills

• A proven track record of developing consumer‑centric embedded system architectures where functions are partitioned between hardware and software.
• Excellent concept ideation skills and ability to translate product visions into realisable electronics architectures.
• Strong understanding of embedded and battery technologies, low‑power processors, wireless communications SoCs, and battery management solutions.
• Embedded software skills – especially low‑level C coding, device drivers, and platform bring‑up (knowledge of Nordic microcontrollers using Zephyr RTOS is an advantage).
• Comfortable working close to the electronics platform and across electronics‑mechanical and software‑electronics boundaries.
• Exposure to the full product lifecycle – concept generation to product release, including demonstration in consumer research trials and market launch.
• Good understanding of EU and US regulatory landscape and proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards for consumer electronics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex engineering concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related subject from a leading university.
• Additional qualifications relevant to your area of expertise are valued.
