Job summary

Mainline is hiring electricians to join our on-site delivery teams in Cork on ESB Framework projects.

You will be part of an experienced team, working on large-scale power projects, with opportunities to progress to PICW roles, and access to a strong benefits package including subsistence, overtime, and training.

The role emphasizes safety, site compliance, and collaboration with management to ensure timely installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with Irish qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Safepass certification required.
• Experience on ESB sites a plus.
• MV/HV knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Comply with EHSQ policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with site management for records, reports and equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose faults using test equipment and hand tools.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Oversee assembly, installation and testing of electrical equipment.

Your New Role

You will be part of an experienced project delivery team working on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
• Work closely with the site management on such duties as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, install, and test, of electrical equipment and components.
