Job summary

Mainline Group in Cork is hiring electricians and PICWs to work on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects. You will join an experienced project delivery team on-site and contribute to multi-disciplinary work on challenging projects.

The role offers progression towards PICW qualification, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. A qualified electrician with Safepass is preferred; ESB site experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Safepass or equivalent safety certification.
• Experience on ESB sites would be an advantage.
• MV/HV knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the site management on maintaining records, files, reports and ordering equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components using testing devices to locate faults.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, installation, and testing of electrical equipment and components.

Your new role:

You will be part of an experienced project delivery team working on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.

• Work closely with the site management on such duties as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment.

• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults.

• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications.
