Job summary

Mainline is seeking an Electrical Person in Charge of Works (PICW) for nationwide projects in Ireland. You will join an experienced project delivery team working on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects.

This permanent/full-time role offers progression with a strong pipeline of multi-disciplinary work. Key requirements include formal electrical qualifications, supervisory experience at 33kV+ substations, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with required trade credentials.
• Supervisory experience of 33Kv or higher live substations is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
• Work closely with the site management on duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, install, and test, of electrical equipment and components.

Your new role:

Package:

Minimum €32.00 per hour DOE (this will increase when PICW level qualification is reached)
