Job summary

Kiernan Engineering in Cork City is seeking qualified Electricians for Commercial projects. Join a growing team on long-term Cork-based work with on-site requirements and standard 8-hour shifts.

You will install electrical apparatus, perform testing and commissioning, and ensure QHSE compliance on multi-discipline projects. Ireland work location, with benefits including pension, bike-to-work and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical installations on commercial projects.
• Ability to test and Commission electrical systems to meet safety standards.
• Familiarity with QHSE requirements and on-site safety.
• Team-based delivery on multi-discipline projects.
• Licensing and certification as required for site access.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical apparatus and equipment.
• Perform testing and commissioning of installations.
• Install containment services and components.
• Carry out cabling installation, terminating and glanding.
• Ensure QHSE requirements are fulfilled prior to work.

As part of our ever-growing expansion of Kiernan Engineering across all sectors in the Cork region, we require qualified Electricians for Commercial projects in Cork City.

• Commercial Electricians
• Large Scale commercial projects all based in Cork City
• Long-term project.

Key Functions:

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Install of electrical apparatus and equipment
• Testing and commissioning of electrical installations
• Installation of containment services and associated components
• Cabling installation, terminating and glanding
• Ensure all QHSE requirements are fulfilled prior to work commencing
• Working as part of a team on multi-disciplined projects
• Knowledge of Electrical circuitry and safe Electrical installation methods, on site.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

• Electrician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Manual Handling Certificate (preferred)
• Safe Pass (preferred)

Qualifications:

• FETAC Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or equivalent

Experience:

• Experience in Commercial projects is desirable
