Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Electrician for energy‑efficiency retrofit projects around Cork County. The role emphasizes domestic wiring, PIRs, car charger installs and high standards of safety and customer service. Salary ranges from €60,000 to €65,000 per annum, with full‑time employment on offer.

Ideal candidates will have QQI Level 6 or City & Guilds, Safe Pass and eligibility to work in Ireland, with experience in domestic construction or Warmer Homes schemes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all electrical aspects of domestic retrofit solutions.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Teams on upgrading works.
• Perform HVAC wiring installation and charging point installs where required.
• Maintain compliance with SE Systems Health and Safety procedures.

About the Role:

Currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team working on energy-efficiency and retrofit projects throughout the Cork County area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrician with experience in domestic construction, refurbishment, or the Warmer Homes Scheme, who is looking to develop their career within a growing and forward-thinking energy-efficiency company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the company in all electrical aspects of our domestic retrofit solutions.
• Work effectively with the Project Managers and Construction Teams with the implementation of all domestic upgrade works.
• HVAC wiring instillation.
• Experience in domestic wiring, rewires and additional circuit installations.
• Car Charger installs.
• Experience conducting domestic Periodic Inspection Reports (PIRs) is desirable but not essential.
• Adhere to and maintain compliance with all SE Systems Health and Safety procedures.
• Maintain a first-class customer service and provide advice to the team and clients.
• Certification of all electrical works.
• Good understanding of the current IS 10101 regulations.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician Certificate.
• National Craft Certificate (QQI Level 6) or an equivalent City and Guilds qualification
• Own QC number and test equipment desirable but not essential.
• Valid Safe Pass and Clean Drivers Licence.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Must be able to demonstrate your experience, good knowledge, and good working practices.
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external clients.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• National Electrical Code and local building regulations knowledge.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-motivated and conscientious. A high level of attention to detail is very important.
• Experience in Solar installs an advantage.
