Job summary

Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a qualified Electrician to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems from its Cashel base in Co. Tipperary. The role is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.

You will install panels and electrical components to Safe Electric specs, perform inspections and testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely project completion. A 3+ year domestic experience and a valid license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 3+ years domestic experience
• Live within a commutable distance of Cashel, Co. Tipperary
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Test & Verification certification would be an advantage
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe Electric specifications and SEAI code of practice
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems
• Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

The Opportunity:

As a Solar Electrician you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily on residential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday – Typically 1 Installation per day.
