Job summary

Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a qualified Electrician to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems from our Naas location in Co. Kildare. This full-time permanent role includes a competitive salary and benefits such as a bonus, pension, healthcare and additional perks.

You will install solar panels and electrical components, perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure projects are completed safely and on time. Training will be provided to start your career in solar energy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 3+ years domestic experience.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Must have valid full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV systems and electrical components per Safe Electric specs and SEAI code of practice.
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

The Opportunity

As a Solar Electrician you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily on residential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
• Must have valid full driver's licence.

Schedule
