Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a qualified Electrician to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems. The role is based near Cashel, Co. Tipperary, full-time and permanent with a competitive salary and benefits.

On offer is six weeks of industry training and the chance to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Responsibilities include installing solar panels, testing and commissioning, performing inspections, and providing customer support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels and electrical components to Safe electric standards and SEAI code.
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• Test system performance with specialised equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and keep accurate records.
• Comply with safety regulations and standards.

The Opportunity:

As a Solar Electrician you willbe responsible forthe installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily onresidential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

Responsibilities Include:

• - Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
• - Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• - Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• - Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
• - Provide technicalassistanceto customersregardingtheir solar systems.
• - Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• - Keepaccuraterecords of all work performed and materials used.
• - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• - Qualified Electrician ideally with 3+ years domestic experience
• - Live within an hour of Cashel, Co. Tipperary.
• - Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• - Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• - Excellent problem-solving skills.
• - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• - Strong communicationskills.
• - Attention to detail.
• - Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
• - Valid driver's license.
