Activ8 Solar Energies are seeking a qualified Electrician to install and commission domestic Solar PV systems from our Ballinasloe location in Co. Galway. This full-time role includes a competitive salary, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.

The Solar Electrician will install, inspect and commission solar PV systems on residential properties, receive 6 weeks of comprehensive training, and work with a team to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with domestic experience.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels and electrical components according to Safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
• Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance on solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in solar systems.
• Test and verify system performance using specialised equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding their solar systems.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

The Opportunity

As a Solar Electrician you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems primarily on residential properties. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

About This Role

• Qualified Electrician ideally with 3+ years domestic experience
• Live within a commutable distance of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Test & Verification certification would be an advantage.
• Valid driver's license.
