Job summary

Absolute Fire and Security specialises in supply, install, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety systems. It is part of the Wtech Fire Group, a recognised leader in Fire Safety and Security, offering expertise, quality service and strong career opportunities.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves PIR testing on domestic and commercial properties, fault finding, and carrying out electrical works on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in domestic electrical works.
• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance or testing.
• Ability to work from drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full Irish driving licence (or equivalent).
• Safe Pass required.

Responsibilities

• PIR Testing on residential / commercial buildings.
• Flexible with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Fault finding and small installation works.
• Liaise with customers to understand and fulfil their requirements.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to works accurately and promptly.
• Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.
• Installation fitting / repair of emergency lighting.

Job description

Absolute Fire and Security specialise in supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety systems from early warning to firefighting equipment. We also support reactive electrical calls, small installations, remedial work, PIR Inspections and PAT testing.

Reporting to: General Manager

Weekly Hours: 39hrs

Days: Monday to Friday

Essential Criteria:

• QC Certification and Number.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Minimum 1yr experience in domestic electrical works.
• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or testing.
• Ability to work from drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Full Irish driving licence (or equivalent).
• Safe Pass Required.

Desirable Criteria:

• IPAF, PASMA, or other site access certifications.
• First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, or Manual Handling training.
