Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks an Electrical Supervisor to join a major Tier 1 Main Contractor on a Data Centre project in Sines, Portugal. The role reports to the Electrical Project Manager with long-term progression opportunities in a growing region.

Key duties include coordinating resources, driving a team, upholding safety and quality, and producing progress reports. Candidates should have an electrical qualification and at least 3 years in supervision, with UK/ Ireland M&E

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or electrical trade background
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role
• Experience on Data Centre projects beneficial; experience with M&E contractors in Ireland/UK preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors
• Lead and drive a team to meet project requirements and deadlines
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Prepare relevant progress reports and weekly toolbox talks
• Report on project progress and maintain installation quality
• Ensure health & safety compliance for staff and sub-contractors
• Review working practices to improve site safety

Electrical Supervisor (Portugal)

Electrical Supervisor required to join one of Irelands largest Tier 1 Main Contractors to work on a Data Centre project in Sines, Portugal. The successful Electrical Supervisor will report into the Electrical Project Manager. Our client is in a period of continued growth in this region and have a large order book for the next 5+ years. They offer both job security and excellent progression opportunities.

Duties

• Coordinating and Planning of resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors
• Manage and drive a team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines
• Ensure the adherence to safety and quality standards
• Prepare relevant reports
• Reporting on progress
• Ensure the quality of work is maintained throughout installation
• Carry out weekly toolbox talks
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance for direct staff and sub-contractors
• Regular reviews of working practices to help improve site safety

Requirements

• An Electrical Engineering qualification or an Electrical trade background.
• A minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory role.
• Experience working on a Data Centre project would be beneficial.
• Must have worked for an M&E Contractor in Ireland or the UK
• Must be driven and be able to work off their own initiative.
• Must be proficient in MS Office.
