About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Electrical Supervisor to join our growing EPC business, specialising in renewable energy and solar PV installations across domestic and commercial projects.

The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing electricians and apprentices, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations and company procedures.

The role will involve regular site visits, technical reviews and audits, as well as providing technical support to the Operations and Sales teams and assisting with customer electrical queries and faults.

Mitros Operations department is currently going through an exciting restructure of its administration and operations processes. It is important to note that the successful candidate would be assisting with the development of such processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Supervision & Technical Oversight

• Supervise and support electricians and apprentices working across domestic and commercial solar PV installations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams.
• Review ongoing and completed electrical works to ensure quality and compliance.
• Carry out technical inspections, site audits and quality checks.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, faults and areas of non-compliance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and fault-finding on solar PV and associated electrical systems.
• Promote consistently high standards of electrical workmanship.
• Support the technical development of electricians and apprentices.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure electrical installations comply with relevant Irish standards, regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Safe Electric requirements and certification processes.
• Maintain knowledge of SEAI requirements relevant to solar PV installations.
• Ensure required documentation, certification and records are completed accurately and on time.
• Keep up to date with changes to electrical regulations, SEAI requirements and industry best practice.
• Identify compliance issues and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.

Health & Safety

• Promote a strong health and safety culture across all electrical projects.
• Ensure electricians, apprentices and subcontractors follow company health and safety procedures.
• Carry out site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure appropriate PPE, safe systems of work and site procedures are followed.
• Challenge unsafe practices and elevate where necessary.
• Support the H&S Manager with ongoing health and safety compliance and improvement.
• Provide leadership and direction to electricians and apprentices.
• Coordinate electrical resources across projects as required.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity and compliance.
• Support the onboarding and development of new electrical team members.
• Identify training and development requirements within the team.
• Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians to build their technical capability.
• Promote a professional, accountable and safety-focused working environment.
• Escalate performance, technical or resource issues to the Operations Manager where appropriate.
• Assisting in the ownership and building of the post install care service alongside the Operations team and service engineer.

Customer & Technical Support

• Assist with customer queries relating to electrical installations, faults and technical issues.
• Provide technical support when investigating customer complaints or installation issues alongside the Service Engineer and Technical Support Assistants.
• Attend customer sites where required to carry out technical surveys or investigate electrical issues.
• Clearly explain technical issues and proposed solutions to customers and internal teams.
• Work with Operations to ensure customer issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
• Provide technical support to the Sales team on electrical and solar-related queries.
• Assist in assessing the technical feasibility of proposed installations.
• Advise on electrical requirements, installation considerations and potential technical challenges.
• Provide technical information for quotations and proposals.
• Review proposed solutions to ensure they are technically suitable and compliant.
• Act as a technical link between Sales, Operations and the electrical installation teams.

Project & Operational Support

• Work closely with the Operations Manager to support the successful delivery of projects.
• Provide technical input during project planning and installation.
• Assist in resolving issues that may affect project timelines, quality or compliance.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, electricians, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on technical issues, audits, compliance and team performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the electrical and wider operations functions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising teams, including electricians and/or apprentices.
• Strong understanding of Irish electrical standards and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Safe Electric requirements and compliance.
• Working knowledge of SEAI requirements and solar PV compliance.
• Experience within solar PV, renewable energy or a related electrical environment.
• Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and technical reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean Category B driving licence.
• Microsoft office proficiency.
• Previous experience using a CRM or scheduling tool is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel to sites approximately 2–3 days per week.
