Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor in Dublin to appoint an Electrical Project Manager. You will take ownership of major electrical packages across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centres and large-scale construction sectors.

You will lead teams, develop programmes, coordinate with BIM and other disciplines, and drive projects from procurement through commissioning to handover with a strong emphasis on health, safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Proven experience as Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Project Engineer.
• Strong experience delivering major electrical packages in construction.
• Electrical or M&E contractor background is highly desirable.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical building services and installation practices.
• Experience managing projects from procurement through handover.
• Proven ability to manage engineers, supervisors and trades.
• Strong programme, procurement and resource-management experience.
• Commercial awareness with budgets, variations and costs.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects from planning through handover.
• Lead Electrical Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, trades and subcontractors.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, milestones and look-ahead schedules.
• Oversee LV distribution, containment, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical docs.
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs and design changes.
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural and structural disciplines.
• Work with BIM teams to resolve coordination issues.
• Manage procurement and long-lead equipment/materials.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Manage labour, resources and productivity.
• Track progress against programme and milestones.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on budgets and variations.
• Manage project risks and resolve issues.
• Chair client, progress and coordination meetings.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and main contractors.
• Oversee QA/QC, inspections and snagging.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure O&M manuals, certification and as-built data are completed.
