Job summary

Arcadis are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a pharmaceutical project in Limerick for a 12-month assignment initially. The successful candidate will lead the electrical scope from execution through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong stakeholder management skills and previous experience delivering electrical projects within regulated industrial,

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years’ experience delivering electrical projects in industrial, pharmaceutical, utilities, manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Experience in a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer or Lead Electrical Engineer capacity.
  • Strong understanding of LV distribution, power systems, motor control, instrumentation and industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors and budgeting.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Experience on GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences sites.
  • Commissioning and qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of automation, controls, PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Experience on brownfield expansion projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full electrical project lifecycle from planning through execution, commissioning and handover.
  • Lead electrical project delivery teams including direct staff, subcontractors and specialist vendors.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Quality standards are maintained throughout all project phases.
  • Act as the primary electrical interface between the client and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate electrical installation activities to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
  • Manage project budgets, variations, procurement activities and commercial performance.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on schedule, risks and resource requirements.
  • Review electrical designs and ensure constructability and compliance requirements are met.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Work closely with Mechanical, Process, Automation and Construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, safety and continuous improvement across the project team.

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering

  • Previous experience in a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer or Lead Electrical Engineer capacity
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including:
    • LV distribution
    • Power systems
    • Motor control
    • Instrumentation
    • Industrial electrical installations
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors
  • Strong commercial awareness and project budgeting experience
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Previous pharmaceutical or life sciences project experience
  • Experience working on GMP-regulated sites
  • Commissioning and qualification experience
  • Knowledge of automation, controls, PLC and SCADA systems
