Elusav Recruitment has a great opportunity with one of Ireland's most respected construction contractors for an Electrical Package Manager to join their growing MEP Business Unit and work on a large apartment project. You will lead electrical package management, safety, quality and cost control from site inception through to handover.

The role requires a trade or third level qualification, 5+ years of management experience, and strong design and build expertise in electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

  • A trade and/or relevant third level qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years in management roles.
  • Experience in design and build.
  • Good technical knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Electrical Systems package.
  • Oversee Site Safety in conjunction with Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including safety file setup and closure.
  • Drive a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture within the team.
  • Manage Site QA with QA Manager, including file setup, management and close out.
  • Oversee Project Schedule with Project Manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements.
  • Control all costs associated with the package.
  • Run day-to-day site operations.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities and weekly meetings with Sub-contractors.
  • Oversee snagging system and weekly punch lists with Supervisors.
  • Issue labour and sub-contractor hours to time administrator.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Reviews, Planning and Handover Meetings.
  • Close out all project items with project team support.
  • Issue weekly cost reports and progress reports (internal and external).
  • Schedule material deliveries to align with project schedule.
  • Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
  • Perform all other duties associated with the role.

Elusav Recruitment has a great opportunity with one of Ireland's most respected and long-standing construction contractors, who are seeking an Electrical Package Manager to join their growing MEP Business Unit and will initially work on a large and complex Apartment Project. The organisation have over 2500 apartments in their project portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor and drive modern methods of construction with focus on quality & safety from the start. There's also clear scope for progression within a well structured and forward thinking business who, under the leadership of a credible MEP Director, have doubled in size their MEP Division, restructured MEP delivery, with serious ambition to become progressive Technical Contractor across Commercial and Industrial.

Responsibilities
  • Management of the Electrical Systems package.
  • Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and the Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
  • Drive a focused Quality. Health, Safety and Environmental culture within your team.
  • Management of Site QA in conjunction with QA Manager including set up, management and close out of file.
  • Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements.
  • Management of all costs associated with your package.
  • Management of all day to day site operations.
  • Ensure Policies and procedures are followed closely.
  • Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with sub-contractor.
  • Management of the "In Progress" snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable. Ensure all snags are distributed to all Sub-contractors.
  • Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
  • Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan - all with the support of the site project manager and your project team.
  • Issue weekly cost reports. This will include all orders placed, materials expected, and labour levels.
  • Issue internal weekly progress report rolled up from project supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of, e.g.: late deliveries.
  • Issue external weekly progress report, to the project manager, highlighting areas not available, delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage complete.
  • Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track all deliveries.
  • Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
  • All other duties associated with the role.
Requirements
  • A trade and/or relevant third level qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in Management.
  • Experienced in design and build.
  • Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
