Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to support electrical maintenance and reliability across a busy manufacturing site in Ireland. The role combines planned maintenance, fault finding, and regulatory compliance within a rotating shift pattern to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.

You will work with engineering and production teams to resolve issues, maintain equipment, manage contractors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Level 7 Electrical qualification or equivalent stated as the ideal standard.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding across electrical control systems and PLCs.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and engineering compliance.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety standards and safe systems of work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned and reactive electrical maintenance across site.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical, PLC and control systems.
• Undertake preventative maintenance, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Support maintenance planning and scheduling to maximise equipment availability.
• Manage contractor activities, inductions, permits and compliance processes.
• Maintain engineering documentation and audit records.
• Contribute to KPI reporting and performance improvements.
• Assist with mechanical maintenance as required.
• Promote a strong safety culture and site compliance through audits.
