Job summary

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in South Kerry, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team on a permanent basis. You will oversee preventative maintenance and diagnose electrical faults on production equipment.

You will work in a modern, regulated manufacturing environment, collaborating with production, engineering and quality teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automated production equipment is desirable.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and minimise equipment downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain and repair automated machinery, control systems, motors, sensors and associated electrical equipment.
• Support the installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing production equipment.
• Assist with maintaining utilities and facility services, ensuring reliable operation.
• Complete maintenance records, reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
