Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in South Kerry for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. The role is permanent and focuses on preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis within a regulated production environment.

You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot faults, and support installation and improvements while ensuring health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or recognised trade qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automated production equipment is desirable.
• Full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and minimise equipment downtime through troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain and repair automated machinery, control systems, motors, sensors and associated electrical equipment.
• Support the installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing production equipment.
• Assist with maintaining utilities and facility services, ensuring reliable operation.
• Complete maintenance records, reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant regulatory standards.

This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a modern, regulated manufacturing environment.
