Job summary

SRG is seeking an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to join our critical Data Centre operations team in West Dublin, Ireland. This onsite role focuses on maintaining safe, reliable, and continuous electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical environment.

You will monitor electrical systems, perform LV switching and testing, manage LOTO and Permit-to-Work processes, respond to alarms, and oversee third-party contractors while producing accurate maintenance records and reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Data Centre or mission-critical environments.
  • Electrical qualification at NFQ Level 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience with LV electrical switching and testing.
  • Good understanding of UPS and battery systems.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, hazardous energy and Permit-to-Work systems.
  • Strong IT and documentation skills, including SOPs/EOPs development.
  • Experience with CMMS is desirable.
  • Engineering degree or additional technical qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor electrical and mechanical systems and respond to alarms.
  • Carry out LV switching, testing and isolation.
  • Issue permits and oversee contractors.
  • Maintain records and produce asset reports.
  • Provide shift handovers and work in safety-critical SLAs.
  • Support maintenance activities in planned and reactive work.
  • Conduct daily site inspections.
  • Respond to BMS alarms and emergency procedures.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to play a key role in maintaining the safe, reliable and continuous operation of critical electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical environment.

You will be responsible for monitoring electrical systems, responding to alarms, carrying out inspections, supporting maintenance activities and performing electrical switching and isolation in line with approved procedures.

  • Monitor critical electrical and mechanical systems and respond to alarms and events.
  • Carry out LV electrical switching, testing and isolation activities.
  • Manage LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) and Permit-to-Work processes.
  • Conduct daily site inspections of critical engineering systems.
  • Respond to BMS alarms and follow established emergency procedures.
  • Issue permits and oversee third-party contractors and vendors.
  • Support maintenance teams during planned and reactive activities.
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
  • Produce reports on asset availability and performance.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive shift handovers.
  • Work effectively within an SLA-driven, safety-critical environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Data Centre, mission-critical or power generation environment.
  • Electrical qualification at NFQ Level 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience with LV electrical switching and testing.
  • Good understanding of UPS and battery systems.
  • Strong knowledge of LOTO, hazardous energy and Permit-to-Work systems.
