Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Authorised Person (Electrical) to support large-scale power and substation projects in Ireland. You will ensure compliance with EHSQ policies, manage site records, and oversee electrical installation and testing activities.

The role requires AP or PICW qualification with supervisory experience at 33kV+ substations, strong communication skills, fluent English, and a full Irish driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified Authorised Person (AP) or PICW with appropriate certification.
• Supervisory experience on live substations at 33kV or above.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Full Irish driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with EHSQ policies and procedures.
• Support site management with records, reporting and equipment requirements.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and compliance.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate testing equipment and tools.
• Work with circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VTs, cabling and associated components.
• Test electrical systems, wiring, equipment and circuit continuity.
• Plan electrical wiring, equipment and fixture installations to project specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, installation and testing of electrical equipment and components.
