Job summary

Jones Engineering in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our project development team. The role focuses on tendering for large-scale electrical projects and requires close collaboration with the Bid Manager and multidisciplinary engineers.

The successful candidate will work primarily from our Cork office, contribute to the full tender process, and develop expertise in LV, MV and HV packages while liaising with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification / Graduate in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or Construction Management considered.
• Trade background may also be considered with relevant project / role experience.
• Experience in construction / engineering / utilities is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office systems required.
• Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on a variety of large-scale projects in multiple sectors.
• Involved in full tender process from beginning to completion.
• Electrical LV, MV & HV tender packages.
• Liaising with relevant parties on an on-going basis.
• Attending pre and post tender interviews.
• Assemble sub-contract quotes while ensuring they comply with the spec.
• Attend meetings both internal and client based where required.
• Completing take-offs from tender drawings.
• Using estimating software packages.
